Guest Speaker: Carolyn Logue, Lobbyist for South Sound Chamber of Commerce Legislative Coalition
Are Puyallup and Sumner likely to see minimum wage increased to $15 an hour? How would an increase in minimum wage impact our local business communities? Many of our businesses already pay $15 per hour. Will they be impacted?
These are the most common questions we are hearing at the Chamber. So come and share your business concerns with our lobbyist and other chamber members and be part of the conversation.
The Puyallup Sumner Chamber of Commerce is in need of a Volunteer Staff to help welcome the US Open guest to the City of Puyallup. Volunteers can sign up here to participate as a greeter for our 2015 U.S. Open activities in downtown Puyallup. The main visitor information booth will be located in the Cattins parking lot across from the Gold Gate at the Washington State Fair.
Volunteers can sign up for 3 hour shifts starting at 6:00am through 9:00pm, Monday June 15th through Sunday June 21st. Concierge volunteers will be stationed at 4 locations outside the Washington State Fairgrounds and in the main information booth. We will be hosting concierge training classes prior to the event.
