Government Affairs Council
Government Affairs Council (GAC) meetings are in person meetings open to all Chamber Members. Come prepared to listen and contribute to the topics of the day. Public and elected officials from our state, Pierce County, City of Puyallup and City of Sumner are regularly in attendance.
During the Legislative session, we often hear updates from our shared lobbyist in Olympia, Carolyn Logue of CA Logue Public Affairs, as part of our involvement in the South Sound Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition. Our 25th District legislators are frequently in attendance as well.
GAC meetings occasionally include insights on actions at the federal level from Chris Eyler, the NW Region Director for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Since our meetings moved to Zoom in 2023-2024, we have made archived recordings of GAC meetings available on the Chamber's YouTube channel.
