August Topic: Hiring, Culture & Retention
Finding great employees is only half the battle... keeping them engaged and helping them thrive is what builds successful businesses.
Join HR expert, business owner, and educator Cheyanne Schaefer for an engaging workshop designed specifically for small business leaders and hiring managers. Through real-world examples and practical strategies, you'll learn how to attract stronger candidates, conduct more effective interviews, create a workplace culture people want to be part of, and improve retention without relying solely on higher wages - all while remaining compliant!
Whether you're preparing to hire your first employee or looking to strengthen an existing team, you'll leave with actionable tools you can implement immediately.
You'll learn how to:
Avoid common hiring mistakes and stay compliant with Washington employment laws
Identify what your business truly needs before posting a position
Create realistic job previews that improve hiring success
Read between the lines during interviews
Learn strategy behind hiring that builds long-term retention with team members that are aligned with your organization
